Ron Wehlander YMCA Endowment Fund

The endowment fund was created by the YMCA Board of Directors in 2005.  The endowment assests are managed by the Community Foundation of Shreveport-Bossier. 

Securing the future of the YMCA of Northwest Lousiaina is the goal of the the endowment program.  The purpose of the endowment program is to enhance current programs, start new programs, grant scholarships to families and individuals in need and to extend services into the community.  

The endowment's principal remains intact while the earned income is distributed in full or in part to support the work of the YMCA.  In this way, the endowment's assets grow through appreciation and some interest is distributed for annual use.  

Thanks to generous donors, more than $215,000 has been entrusted to the Ron Wehlander YMCA Endowment Fund.
