YMCA 9/11 Commemorative Stair Climb

Let’s honor the fallen TOGETHER!

Climb with us! Walk on a Stairmaster anywhere from 1, to 110 flights of stairs.
Together we will strive to reach our community goal…1,980 flights of stairs to honor the 1,980 steps in the World Trade Center.

This event is inspired by the acts of Mr. Jay Muller, who personally honors the fallen by climbing 110 flights of stairs equipped in his fire suit.

5:00am – 9:00pm | Open to the Public

Stairmasters will be setup in the lobby of the BHP Billiton YMCA.

(3455 Knight Street)

We will be accepting donations during this event. All funds will go to first responders in Shreveport-Bossier thanks to event sponsors who have partnered with the YMCA for this event.

Participants who donate $10 or more, or who climb 110 flights of stairs, will receive a commemorative 9/11 pin for their contributions. After each member finishes their climb, the number of flights and the members name will be written down on a community banner.

Special Thanks to Casco Industries, Inc. Fire Equipment Sales & Service and BNB Systems for sponsoring this event with the Y.
