Athleticism, Strategy, and A LOT OF FUN! This popular Y race has it all!

The YMCA Urban Adventure Race is the ultimate urban hybrid adventure, sending teams of 2 racers out on a mystery course around the city. The Race starts at 8:30 AM on Saturday, May 4th, 2019, at the Downtown YMCA, 400 McNeil Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. The cost is $50/team. The course ranges from 10-20 miles (10-15 miles biking 3-5 miles running) and 2-4 hours, depending on your planning skills and endurance level. Teams will combine athleticism with thought-provoking strategy and may expect to be running, biking, paddling, and performing other crazy stunts in a race around the city.

Mandatory modes of transportation and equipment needed:
– Running/Jogging
– Bike (either road bike or mountain bike is fine) for each team member on course
– Bike helmet for each team member on course
– Running shoes
– 1 cell phone (minimum)
– 1 digital camera (a cell phone that takes pictures is acceptable)
– A smart phone is highly-recommended as internet is legal in this race.
– Water
– Pen or Pencil
– $10 in cash or credit card
– Your brain and a sense of adventure!
* Swimming is not listed as a discipline; however we do reserve the right to get you wet!

All proceeds after expenses go toward the YMCA of Northwest Louisiana’s Annual Campaign that provides financial assistance for family memberships and youth sports participants based on need, so that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive through the Y.
