We know that when we work together, we move individuals, families, and communities forward. The Y responds to society’s most pressing needs by developing innovative, community-based solutions to help those in need to reach their full potential. We are also committed to inspiring a spirit of service by uniting individuals from all walks of life to participate in and work for positive social change.
This is a collaboration with Caddo Parish Public Schools to provide the opportunity for every 2nd grader enrolled in our public school system to participate in a 4-day water safety and swim survival skills program. This program is made possible through support from the Community Foundation of North Louisiana and Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport.
THERE ARE PAID & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR THIS PROGRAM – WE NEED YOUR HELP! CAN YOU COMMIT JUST 5 HOURS OVER 4 DAYS TO DROWNING PREVENTION IN OUR COMMUNITY? WE NEED SWIM INSTRUCTORS THROUGH THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!!!
When is the Next Instructor Training? Contact Hope Mathis for details: 318-674-9635 or hmathis@ymcanwla.org
