Battle on the Boards for ALS

Grab your friends, kids, and family, and join us for an extremely fun paddleboard jousting tournament that will raise funds for an extremely important cause.

This year will be the 1st Annual Battle on the Boards for ALS fundraiser. ALS stands for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a neurodegenerative disease that affects the spinal cord and brain cells which ultimately results in not only the loss of function in the limbs, but also renders the person unable to speak. The funds raised through this event will go to the ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter.

ABOUT: ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter

Our mission is to lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global, cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig’s disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support. The 2014 Ice Bucket Challenge brought unprecedented awareness and support for the fight against ALS. Ultimately, the viral phenomenon revealed that while our vision of a world without ALS is closer than ever before, the need is even more urgent to provide care for those living with the disease, advocate on their behalf, and support research for treatments and a cure.
