The YMCA has long been America’s favorite swimming instructor. Whether just learning how to swim, improving strokes, or taking water exercise classes, members are in safe hands with our certified swimming instructors and lifeguards.
The aquatics programs at the Y are about more than just the techniques and skills; they are about building friendships, developing self-esteem, and creating positive experiences that will last a lifetime.
Learn to Swim
Learn to swim with the organization that started group swimming lessons…the Y! The Y offers swimming lessons for anyone ages 6 months of age and older. The YMCA Swim Lessons Curriculum is a core group of swimming skills every person needs to learn how to swim. At the Y, we teach youth, teens, and adults to swim, so they can stay safe around water and learn the skills they need to make swimming a lifelong pursuit for staying healthy.
