RRAC Announces Assistant Swim Team Director

[Shreveport, LA – August 21, 2018]

The YMCA of Northwest Louisiana welcomes Tyler P Lloyd in his new role as full-time Assistant Swim Team Director for Red River Aquatic Club.

Tyler leads our Level I & II Groups as well as the newly developed Pre-Competitive program. In addition to coaching, Tyler is the head of the YMCA’s Swim For Life program, a collaboration with Caddo Parish Public Schools and the Community Foundation of North Louisiana, offering a water safety and swim survival skills program for area 2nd graders.

Tyler came to RRAC from Tyler, TX where he competed at many levels of the sport.  Growing up he swam summer league, middle school, high school and club swimming.  He was a lifeguard and swim instructor for 4 years, also teaching swim lessons to a local preschool.  After high school he served a 2 year mission in Ireland for his church.  When he returned he attended Tyler Junior College and earned an associate degree in business management.  He coached at the Tyler YMCA for 2 years during that time.  His hobbies include rugby, triathlons, soccer and disc golf.  Tyler and his wife, Amanda have 2 children, Rhett and Rowan.
